school in rural France. They are bored and rebellious, and share a fascination with Satanism and evil. They form a secret pact to renounce God and serve the Devil, and begin to commit various acts of mischief, vandalism, theft, seduction and cruelty. They also develop a
lesbian relationship and a mutual hatred for their parents and society. Their crimes escalate as they target their neighbors, teachers, relatives and animals. They set fire to a barn, poison a priest,
torture a bird, blackmail a gardener, humiliate a nun, and
rape a
young boy. They also plan to murder Anne’s parents and run away together. However, their scheme goes awry when they are discovered by Anne’s father (Dhéran), who tries to stop them.
